While we enjoy the fresh air, the weather does not always cooperate. The key ingredient is floor space and for participants to wear comfortable clothes. A good rule of thumb is to have 500 square feet for every group of 10-15 participants. The key to a good team building event is if the 
participants are engaged. Engagement comes from team building facilitators who can read groups quickly and get them to actively participate using their imagination. Finally, the facilitator must be able to change on the fly. If an exercise is not working, change it up, add constraints or make it easier so the group can benefit from the activity.
