Common Questions:

Masks are no longer required indoors or outdoors for children or staff, however, we encourage masks for anyone who would like to wear them.

Outdoor play is important even when the weather is cold! However, to keep everyone warm and safe during the winter months (December-March) we will do the pizza party and movie indoors. Campers should bring adequate layers for the outdoor portions of their program. We recommend a long-sleeved base layer, a sweater/sweatshirt mid layer, a heavy coat outer layer, a hat, gloves, and scarf.

For school’s out, we ask you to send your child with:

  • A Face Mask
  • A Non-Perishable Lunch
  • Snacks
  • Bug Spray
  • Sunscreen, as needed

A full refund may be issued upon request as long as you have contacted us 48 hours (2 days) or more from your program start date/time. If you contact us less than 48 hours from your program start date/time we are unable to refund you but can give you a full credit which can be used towards a future youth program adventure!

We operate rain, snow, or shine! Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. If the weather poses a safety concern, we will contact all registrants as soon as possible to let them know that their program is canceled and refund them.

That’s okay! Lots of kids feel nervous about heights. Our staff are patient, kind, and specially trained to help them work through their fears. That being said, we operate on a challenge-by-choice philosophy, which means that although we will encourage each child to try each activity, we will never force them to do any activity that makes them uncomfortable.

We host School’s Out Dates based on the public school calendar for Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, and Baltimore County.

If you are in a different county or go to private school, we can host a school’s out day by request. Please email us (info@terrapinadventures.com) to request additional dates. In order for a day of camp to run, we need at least five campers registered.
