Counselor-In-Training Camp Program

A 2 Week Leadership Camp for ages 15-16!

What is a Counselor-In-Training?

Counselors-In-Training or CIT’s spend two full weeks at Terrapin Adventures learning what it takes to be a great Camp Counselor, but that isn’t the only thing they’ll learn!

Teens enrolled in this program will learn about different types of leadership and how to use their unique voice to be an effective leader, both at and away from camp!

Each day CITs will learn valuable skills that will build confidence and knowledge. Along the way, they’ll be participating in a wide variety of exhilarating activities!

After completing our program, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities within Terrapin Adventures Youth Programs. Volunteers can gain service hours and first-hand experiences to help boost their college applications and resume!

During week one of the program, CITs will stick together as a cohort, learning the skills necessary to be a camp counselor.

During week two of the program, CITs will be placed with a group of younger campers so that they can practice their newfound leadership skills!
