Our Wilderness Expedition program includes a variety of exciting and challenging activities— all led by our kind, inclusive, and specially trained camp counselors!
Teens in this program will challenge themselves physically and mentally both at and away from our adventure park!
Your teen’s week at camp includes specialized programming unique to the Wilderness Expedition Program!
Backpacking – Explore the beauty of the historic Appalachian Trail as we summit the mountain that leads to our campsite for the night! Learn how to start and cook over a fire, how to set up a tent, and how to make safe drinking water in the backcountry. This 2 day-1 night adventure is led by our highly experienced backpacking guides.
Caving – Investigate the world beneath our feet as we crawl and climb through an underground cave in West Virginia, under the supervision of trained caving specialists. Helmets and headlamps are provided.
*Transportation is provided by Terrapin Adventures for the backpacking/ caving trip taking place Thursday through Friday. Campers must provide their own sleeping bag. Terrapin Adventures will provide packs, food, and all other necessary equipment for this trip.

*Bikes and helmets provided. Campers may bring their own bike and helmet if they would like.
**Kayaking takes place at Scott’s Cove in Laurel, Maryland. On your assigned kayaking day, campers will need to be dropped off and picked up at this location.

Program Requirements: Campers must weigh at least 60lbs and be at least 4 feet tall.
