Let Terrapin Adventures be your guide and unveil a bold universe of outdoor fun. Learn new skills while you explore local parks, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Each tour will need advance reservations that can be made online or by phone.
Join us as we pedal on local paths and trails. Explore Savage Park and the Patuxent Ridge Trail all the way to Lake Elkhorn and back (12 miles round trip). Please note that due to sewer line construction, this tour and trail is closed until further notice.

For the more adventurous, strap on your helmet as we tackle the "Moab of the East", Patapsco Valley State Park. There are many miles of trails for all levels of riders.

Patapsco Valley State Park River Bike Trail Enjoy cycling along the Patapsco River on a 10 mile round trip as we following the river on paved paths. We meet inside the park at the Avalon parking area near Rt. 1 in Elkridge. We even get to go across the historic swinging bridge and go by the old hydroelectric dam. We stop along the way and learn about the rich history of Patapsco Valley State Park. This is a casual and relatively easy ride that has lots of great views.

Pedal and Pick Your Own: Using our comfortable mountain bikes, the 13.3 miles cruise by as we enjoy the sites and sounds of Western Howard County farm land. We start and end at Larriland Farms, famous for pick your own fruits and vegetables. The guided bike tour should last about 2 hours and then you pick Larriland's wonderful berries, apples, and vegetables on their nearly 80 acres.
Cost for Tour is $49.95 (vegetables and fruit are yours to purchase). We provide the bikes, helmets and water. Must be at least 12 years old and 5 ft. tall. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. As an option, you can bring your own bike for the tour for only $25. Minimum tour size of 6 people and maximum of 12. Book Now!
Eastern Shore of Maryland: This 29 mile ride goes through flat lands of the Easton, Oxford and St. Michaels. We meet at the YMCA parking lot in Easton. Points of interest include a sandy beach, parks, quaint shops, Nautical Museum in St. Michaels, and seafood restaurants. Bring a bathing suit and towel and swim near the ferry. Bring money for our lunch stop. One of the highlights is taking the ferry from Oxford to Bellevue across the Tred Avon River. This 5-6 hour tour gives us plenty of time to explore. The roads are quiet and have a bike shoulder for safe riding.
Cost for Tour is $79.95 including bike, helmet, ferry ride, water. Must be 5 ft. tall and at least 12 years old and comfortable riding for an extended time period. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum tour size of 4 people. Maximum of 12. Book Now!
TA employs comfortable mountain bikes with front shocks, comfortable seats and high quality components. We have an onsite mechanic to help maintain our bikes in good working order. TA requires guests to wear helmets on our tours (supplied by us).
Bike Rentals: Prefer to go at your own pace. Take our bikes and a picnic on a self-guided tour on the Patuxent Ridge Trail. Round trip is only 12 miles.
